THE Africa Trade Conference (ATC2021) is set to commence next week in Nairobi Kenya, with those based out of Nairobi being able to access the event via virtual platform.

The conference, running under the theme ‘Empowering Africans to participate in Intra Africa Trade and Global Trade post COVID-19’ will be held on the 11th to 12th of November, 2021.

According to a statement by the organisers, the aim of the conference is to showcase the trade opportunities brought about by the AfCFTA and other regional trade agreements that will increase Intra Africa Trade, to create awareness of international trade agreements that create opportunities in global markets, to analyse opportunities brought about by digital trade, especially for MSMEs run by women and the youth and to create linkages for African businesses to sell their goods and services.

“The panellists and attendees who will be attending the ATC2021 are from various African countries including the African Diaspora, the Global Business community and Global Trade experts,” Regal Africa Group said in a statement.

“The Conference is structured into 4 sessions, which are: “Trade in Africa” Session which will be held on 11th November from 9:00am and we will have discussions on Intra Africa Trade; “Trade with Africa” Session which will be held on 11th November from 2:00pm and we will have discussions on Global Trade; “Digital Trade” Session which will be held on 12th November from 9:00am and we will have discussions on digital trade opportunities and solutions for corporates and MSMEs in Africa; then “Africa Trade Exhibition” Session which will be held on 12th November from 2:00pm and we will showcase African brands and companies that do business in Africa.”

The Africa Trade Conference is an annual conference that seeks to play an important role in facilitating dialogue, networking, advancing knowledge and information about Trade in Africa and Trade with Africa.
