THE company was founded in 2016, but became operational legally in 2019. It was established by Ruvimbo Kadyevu who draws her inspiration from her immeasurable love for visual art.
EthelartConnect offer talent management mainly visual art talents, paintings, sculpture, drawings for sale, get commissioning of portraits, artistic manufactured fashion and art lessons. By virtue of being talented in visual art, Kadyevu applied at National Gallery School as means to compliment her talent with an academic qualification much to the disapproval of her family.
This drove her to set up EthelartConnect which presents equal chance, to aspiring artists by representing them and promoting them to get skills and opportunities. EthelartConnect is located in Harare. She also noticed that art is not regarded as a career due to lack of push hence the company promote talent as a whole package meaning they take time in noticing talent, coach it and find Innovative ways to make it embraced.
They support the artists by listening to challenges they face, find innovative solutions as well as partnerships to empower them. The vision of the company is to change the narrative that pursuing talent will not make one earn a noble living with it.
The company is pivoted upon the vision to be a contemporary art centre within Africa and beyond. EthelartConnect has managed to be part of a global pandemic mirror art historical project in partnership with Italy and they introduced Mirror art in Zimbabwe.
In addition, over fifty artistes have been assisted with their projects and they are planning to open galleries around major tourists attraction centres, forge partnerships in a bid to penetrate all markets thus inclusion of art in many spaces therefore employment creation for artists. They have registered another branch in South Africa hoping to start inter-art exchange programs and art selling.
