Hunger for success and fear of poverty: A great inspiration to successful entrepreneurship

Read Time:2 Minute, 15 Second

Entrepreneurship sometimes requires one to go against the odds, getting out of their comfort zones and face the world boldly as an individual to achieve their lifetime desired goals. This defines an entrepreneurial journey of a 25 year old lady, Langa Ncube who is principled to achieve her set of goals.

Ncube who is the author behind an exclusive piece of writing, Hidden Obsession, described herself as a young woman who has hunger for success.

“I have hunger for success and fear of poverty that stirs up the energy in me and drive me into doing everything l do to achieve my set of goals in life,” said Ncube.

Ncube is also driven by her motto, “lm coming for everything they said l cannot have.”

Ncube narrated her entrepreneurial journey starting from the book that she described as a successful project as it sold over 300 copies since June 2019 to date. The book is also coverted into a movie script.

Ncube said that she got her inspiration to write her book from a life event, “l have a male best friend whom people always had questions about our friendship. One day an idea to write a book came when a former schoolmate asked me about the kind of relationship l had to the guy. I thought of giving people something to read. I jotted down the text that l was going to develop into a story. My idea was to create a story around what people believed to be true.”

Hidden Obsession is about two best friends who were living in denial. They kept their feelings a secret and maintained a health friendship. However life kept on throwing stones at both of them until they collected enough to build an empire.

Ncube acknowledged that she was assisted to develop and publish her book by Marshal Chiza who has experience and owns a publishing company.

The successful author described herself as fortunate to have found a distribution company Afrokulcha based in Johannesburg South Africa, that helped her sell her book. The company is an online shop that distribute products all over the world.

Ncube said, she supplies Afrokulcha with copies of her book and they pay her monthly.

Ncube is not only an author to the creative piece of work, Hidden Obsession but she is also a Biotechnologist graduate from Midlands State University (MSU), a comedian, nail technician and Chief Executive Officer of StickyScribesHub.

StickyScribesHub is a product of the lockdown.

“The initiative deals with business solutions, books and documents production and distribution,” said Ncube. Sticky Scribes Hub runs under the vision ‘to make people understand that books and entrepreneurship are a great part of a good life.’
