TALENT Madziwo (33) is a rarity in the network marketing industry which makes her story remarkable. The mother of three established her cosmetic line Royal Secrets International in 2015 after she grew disillusioned with the idea of living paycheck to paycheck.
Royal Secrets International is a fragrance and skin care brands which are manufactured to suit the preferences of males and females.
“Before venturing into business, I was a civil servant working in the Ministry Of Labour In Kwekwe and the idea of forming Royal Secrets business model came as a way of creating extra income.
“I managed to push boundaries and finding balance through laying out my core values and purpose as a way of expressing my talent to the world through my products.
“I realized that for me to succeed in whatever I do I had to possess an internal compass to guide me on my path and remain true to my values,” Madziwo told this publication.
She draws her inspiration from her spiritual father Ambassador Uebert Angel who pushed her to have a straight business acumen premised on honesty and good service.
Her company is unique in that it became the first perfume producer in a marginalized city of Kwekwe.
“We also managed to create employment for women who are left out in the national grid development due to their locations as some of them came from urban, peri urban and rural setups.
“I would like to believe that we have marked our place as one of the biggest network marketing company,” she expressed.
Royal Secrets is premised on the vision is to be the game changer in the perfume industry in Zimbabwe. Focus is on motivating youths to venture into entrepreneurship through their global network marketing.
She has spread her wings throughout the region with her environmentally friendly products and she has created employment for over 20 000 women across Southern Africa.
In addition, she has run two award ceremonies where she recognises women who dedicated their effort in pushing the Royal Secrets brand. Some have scooped with cars and monetary rewards.
Through her philanthropic work, she has managed to assist many people with albinism through the Royal Family Albinism Trust. The trust donates sunscreen lotions and basic necessities to people with albinism who are usually sidelined by social welfare services.
ADVICE TO WOMEN LOOKING TO START-UP: To women out there I say if you have a dream keep pushing do not give up do not let patriarchal or societal stereotypes stop you from becoming who you want to be.
