ESTABLISHED in 2020, TradEx and officially registered as Keensik Investments Pvt Ltd in 2021 is a company that offer a full-service portfolio for solar projects of all scales that includes advisory, procurement, engineering, project development, finance, construction services and plant monitoring/maintenance (preventive, corrective, and breakdown). It was founded by Elisha Daucey who discovered that Zimbabwe has national electricity deficit of +/- 1000MW.
To bridge this deficit, he is of the view that Zimbabwe does not necessarily need to import electricity when it is endowed with idle natural resources. He upholds the view that solar energy is one alternative that Zimbabwe can utilise to improve the country’s energy generation matrix.
The energy establishment is based in Harare, with ambitions of spreading across the whole Africa preaching the gospel of Clean Energy. The company encompasses of a group of passionate and creative minds that have the love for solar technology for what it is, – a fantastic technological advancement, what it represents – the hope of a cleaner planet and a more responsible and upright way of consumption, and what it delivers – clean energy.
It is TradEx’s target to install more than 50 megawatts of solar energy to power homes, schools, commercial buildings, and more by 2030.TradEx boasts of a dream team, gathering skills in solar design, architecture, engineering, and customer service. The visionary of the venture envisions of powering Africa with clean energy, energizing communities through the provision is sustainable technical and technological support.
In 2021 the founding Chief Executive Officer of TradEx was listed on 50 under 30 Emerging Leaders Inspirational and thoughtful leadership award (Gumiguru Achievers Award.)
