CAFCA Limited (CAFCA.zw) is a Manufacturing company under the Engineering Sector. It has managed to have its export footprints in Africa and the globe at large.

Background

Whilst it’s primary market is Southern and Central Africa, CAFCA has an export footprint that reaches out to parts of Europe, including Russia. CAFCA Limited focuses on manufacturing and supplying cable and allied products for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy and telecommunication. It prides itself in manufacturing over 900 cabling products to British, South African and Zimbabwe quality standards, including 11KV XLPE cables. It recovers decommissioned cables for recycling; and supplies telecommunication cable ranging from indoor cable to underground cable and aerial self-supporting cable. Founded in 1947, and publicly listed in the same year, CAFCA is a subsidiary of CBi Electric African Cables (South Africa) which is owned by Reunert Limited (South Africa)

Share Price Analysis

In Dec 2019, CAFCA closed at a share price around 178.02 zw cents and opening the year around the same value. It gradually gained value towards the end of Feb 2020 and on the 3rd of Feb it had rose to 288cents. A bullish trend was experienced henceforth, its share price reaching 993cents on the 17th of Feb that same year. It continued with its bullish trend up to May 09 and experienced a sideway trend at around 1,900cents. A retracement happened on the 4th of May 2020, with a share price drop to 1,800cents. It regained its bullish trend and on the 28th of May share price was around 2,875c. The share price continuously rose and on the 22nd of June 2020, CAFCA share price was at 6,000 cents and on the 24th of August it appreciated value to 6,100cents. As at the 23rd of October 2020, share price was at 6,087cents.

CAFCA also has a dividends record, it declared dividends on the 16th of May 2019 and paid them on the 14th of June 2019 at an amount of 613 RTGS cents per share
