The humble beginnings of many of today’s most successful brands played a major role in their remarkable ascent to success. Anesu is among those individuals who started her business with only $30 after resigning from TM Avondale. She courageously ventured into selling products to local establishments like Chicken Inn and Eat and Lick, going door-to-door to promote her offerings.
Realizing the potential of digital platforms, she created multiple WhatsApp groups to expand her customer base. With each additional group, her clientele grew, and she soon found herself managing 12 active WhatsApp groups. Firmly believing that more people meant more opportunities for success, she ventured into Facebook to tap into a new market of potential customers. Her products, supported by numerous testimonials and recommendations, quickly gained popularity on the platform, allowing her to secure a significant market share.
“I was inspired by Shandy Naturals, a Nigerian hair products entrepreneur. I always admired her shop, and when I finally had the money to own my own office, I copied her shelves. She had 32,000 followers, and I always wished to reach that level. Through hard work, I surpassed that goal, and now I have 40,000 followers on Facebook.
“I established this business in February 2020. It had always been my dream to be a hair blogger and have a YouTube channel where I could teach people about hair and skin. Initially, I didn’t consider it from a business perspective. However, the fear of financial instability after resigning from my job pushed me to take action. I knew I had a passion for this field, so I decided to turn it into a business and pursue my dreams.”
Her company is truly extraordinary in that it offers products that consistently surpass customer expectations, delivering outstanding results. The ultimate goal is to foster substantial growth and expand the brand’s reach on an international scale.
One of the most significant milestones in her journey was the opening of her own shop. It was a monumental achievement, considering they used to rent or share tables under someone else’s ownership. Now, she proudly stands as the landlord of her own establishment, and to her, this accomplishment holds immense significance.
